Underlying Principle


Hall Effect Set Up by Motoron semiconductors corporation works on the following principle: Vector hall voltage generated on the basis of a force called Lorentz force, in any metal, semiconductors or alloys is due to vector current flowing in the plane of magnetic field. This Hall experiment is basically set up to observe the following:

1. Normal Hall effect
2. Anomalous Hall effect
3. Charge carrier
4. Hall mobility
5. Electron and defect electron

These tabletop set up consists of variable magnetic field electromagnet in various ranges from 5000 to 30000 gauss, precision electrometer with constant current source. Fluids or gases passing via these pressure gauges exerts pressure on diaphragm/bourdon as result inductance of coil mounted on diafram/tube moves close to pick-up coil. This will lead to a change in induce emf of pick-up coil. This is linearized to applied pressure in accuracy range of 99 percent. It may have set point for alarm and may be interface with PC using RS 232.
